Poetry is often surprising to me. Today I opened up my heart and this just fell out. Full moon poetry... haven’t written in a while. It feels good. #innerwildernessadventures
Today, like waking up from a long dark winters sleep, I felt the warmth of sun on my skin, heard the busy sound of bees gathering nectar and had my eyes opened to the wonderous sights of blossoms pushing through once frozen ground... it’s a great start! A good friend reminded me... “The planet does not need more successful people. The planet desperately needs more peacemakers, healers, restorers, storytellers and lovers of all kinds. -Dalai Lama” #thelightnessofdark #innerwildernessadventures #realness
It’s flip-flop season!!! I just got gifted these beautiful #handmade knit socks from @elizpur !!! They are so comfy and make early sandal weather so much more bearable!!! Thanks @elizpur !!!
“You get by with a little help from your friends” (and family). We’ve been down under on the East coast of Oz doing what humans do best...loving, living, laughing, crying and most of all, spending time. After weeks of work we made a ‘Mary Poppins’ list - of never ending magic and depth - that just kept on going as we sat on the porch readying for our departure. Healing comes in all shapes and textures and I have been so blessed to participate in magical moments that’s roots reach deep into my core! I am continuing to learn that sometimes healing, for everyone involved, comes in simple acts like cooking food, digging holes and sitting around talking about the heat - surprisingly obvious and deeply human acts. #rememberthis #familybonding #innerwildernessadventures @josjourneytheroamingnomad #one11glass
Change, discomfort and becoming fully human. S#!t my husband does - Always Amazing!!! Santa came early for me this year, bringing a most amazing human into my world. He builds stuff, invents stuff, fixes stuff, he’s playful, he’s sweet, he’s giving and thoughtful, adventurous and bold. Best gift ever... love this guy!!
We’re not in Kansas any more!!! Welcome to Oz - Christmas in a sun dress... what!?!
Working under the light of the full moon, clearing out old patterns and memories, bringing them light and making space for new intentions and dreams. This is the work that grief and loss can offer through creating a threshold so that the work of transformation can be done. No one said it would be easy, the fruits of the labour so hard to see in the middle of things... but it IS happening, slowly, slowly... we are being cooked - like a butterfly in the the chrysalis first we must liquify to, in turn, take new form. Stay awake, take notice, for change is on the horizon. #gratitude #fullmoonmagic #solsticeawakenings #butterflygoo #innerwildernessadventures
On this day 13 years ago, my dear and beloved father took leave of his earthly vessel to pass beyond. He died and left me with the great gifts of strength and humility of voice, a lineage of ceremony and grace, and wisdom enough to last a thousand lifetimes. Today I am lighthearted and grateful to call myself his daughter and to carry the gifts he bestowed upon me in our 22 years together as I continue my earthly journey. He continues to teach me about the paradox of light and dark, of life and death and reminds me to forever “fill the cup, before life’s liquor in it’s cup be dry” (Rubáiyát of Omar Khayyám) I will forever remember and love you with all of my heart ❤️ dearest daddy. “It is not a garment I cast off this day, but a skin that I tear with my own hands. Nor is it a thought I leave behind me, but a heart made sweet with hunger and with thirst. Yet I cannot tarry longer. The sea that calls all things unto her calls me, and I must embark. For to stay, though the hours burn in the night, is to freeze and crystallize and be bound in a mould. Fain would I take with me all that is here. But how shall I? A voice cannot carry the tongue and the lips that give it wings. Alone must it seek the ether. And alone and without his nest shall the eagle fly across the sun.” ~ Khalil Gibran
